For those traveling in, there are several airport options to choose from: San Luis Obispo (SBP) is the closest, while San Jose (SJC), San Francisco (SFO), Santa Barbara (SBA), and Los Angeles (LAX) are great alternatives for those coming from farther away.

If you're driving, Paso Robles is conveniently located right off Highway 101, making for a scenic and easy road trip. 
 We feel so lucky to have a home filled with everything we need—but what means the most to us is creating new memories together! Instead of traditional gifts, we would love for you to be part of our next big adventure by contributing to our house fund as we save for our first home, or to our honeymoon fund to help us celebrate and unwind as newlyweds in the Bahamas. It all started back in 2018 at a local dive bar in Hollister. Steele had just moved back to his hometown and was out with friends, diving right back into the small-town social scene. Nicole had just finished a softball game and was enjoying some celebratory drinks when her teammate walked in… with Steele. They exchanged a quick hello, but Nicole didn’t let her teammate leave without making it clear—damn, he was a cutie!


Nicole made sure Steele knew exactly what she thought, and Steele, being the smooth guy he is, wasted no time sliding into Nicole’s DMs. They had some casual chats over the next few months, but despite Steele’s attempts to ask Nicole out, she left him on 'read' each time.


Fast forward to January 1st, 2019. Nicole and her bestie, Lauren, were having lunch after ringing in the new year when Lauren urged Nicole to get back into the dating scene. So, Nicole reluctantly agreed to download a dating app (yes, a dating app). Lauren went all out, curating the perfect profile and set it to launch.


And guess who Nicole's very first “MATCH” was? That’s right… Steele. From there, it was history. What started as a couple of DMs quickly turned into a love story we’ll cherish forever.

Steele knew that pulling off a true surprise for Nicole would be no easy task. As someone who plans weddings for a living and has an eye for every little detail, she’s nearly impossible to catch off guard. But Steele was determined so he teamed up with Lauren, to make it happen.


As luck would have it, Lauren had already planned a girls’ weekend getaway in Paso Robles to celebrate her birthday—an opportunity too perfect to pass up. They both knew this would be the only time Nicole wouldn’t suspect a thing. Steele and Lauren worked through every detail, ensuring that the big moment would unfold flawlessly.


On September 25, 2023, Nicole and Lauren spent the day wine tasting at some of their favorite Paso wineries, laughing, sipping, and soaking in the beautiful scenery. Their final stop was Nicole’s favorite winery—Denner Vineyards.


Unbeknownst to Nicole, Steele had been waiting in the parking lot for the perfect moment. As she sat enjoying the scenery, completely relaxed and unsuspecting, Steele quietly made his way up behind her. With a gentle tap on her shoulder, she turned around to find him down on one knee, a mix of excitement and nerves on his face. Before she could even process what was happening, Steele— a man of few words—blurted out, “SURPRISE!”. And it truly was. The biggest, best surprise of the entire day.


In complete shock, Nicole couldn’t believe what was happening—especially on Lauren’s birthday! It was the one time she never would have expected it, and Steele knew it. With happy tears and a heart full of love, she, of course, said YES!


The celebrations continued with another glass of wine before making their way to one last winery, where an impromptu “just engaged” photoshoot took place. They FaceTimed family and friends, who were just as surprised as Nicole—except for her dad, John, whom Steele had asked for his blessing just days before.


That evening, they celebrated with a beautiful dinner at The Paso Robles Inn, a place close to their hearts. They spent the night reminiscing, laughing, and dreaming about their future together in the hot tub with the stars above.


The next day, with a brand-new ring sparkling on her finger, they took a quick trip to Hearst Castle, capping off a weekend they would cherish forever.


And now, the countdown to September 6, 2025 is on!

It all began with a few dates in 2019, which turned into a lot more as we quickly realized how much we enjoyed each other’s company. By 2020, Nicole, Steele, and Bella (Nicole’s Frenchie) were living together while renovating the home on the back of Steele's family’s property. They built a life together filled with love, laughter, and plenty of DIY projects.

In 2022, Nicole’s job brought her to Morgan Hill, where she moved into a lively downtown apartment. While she thrived in the vibrant atmosphere, she soon realized that life without Steele wasn’t quite as sweet.  Shortly after, Steele moved in, and they began creating a wonderful life in the heart of downtown. From hanging out with friends to cozy date nights and exploring places like Tahoe, Paso Robles, New York. They were living their best life together!

In 2023, Steele started planning his proposal, knowing he wanted it to be perfect. In September of that year, he proposed in Paso Robles, a place that held so many fond memories for them, and wanted it to be where they got engaged. After far too many months of soaking in the excitement of being newly engaged, family and friends couldn’t stop asking, “When’s the date?”

In 2024, the venue search began. With Nicole’s experience in planning weddings, she knew exactly what she wanted—something unique and special. After searching all over California, they found the perfect place: Allegretto Vineyard Resort in Paso Robles. The location of the venue made it even more perfect, and they set their wedding date for September 6, 2025. The plans were underway!


Recently, Nicole and Steele gained another family member, Blue, their new frenchie and Bella's best friend! They moved back to their cozy little home in Hollister, where their journey first began. With big plans ahead, hoping to purchase their first home in the coming months, 2025 is shaping up to be their biggest year yet—getting married, purchasing their first home, and continuing to build a beautiful life together.
